Round nose pliers are used to make loops. The nose of the pliers are wide at the base and taper to smaller rounds at the tip.

Hints & Tips

Using round-nose pliers bend the wire to a 90-degree angle. Trim to 1/2 inch.

Grip the tip of the wire with the end of the round-nose pliers, leaving very little wire peaking through the barrels of the pliers. Bend the end back to begin to create the loop.

Rotate your wrist away from your body, while using the tip of your thumb on the other hand to push on the wire below the pliers, forming a loop. The placement of your thumb will help keep the angle sharp and the loop circular using the roundness of the pliers.

Make any other adjustments to ensure the loop is centered.
